Top 5 Ways to get the best results with boot camp
- Show up – The key to weight loss is to burn more calories than you eat. One of the best ways to accomplish that is by showing up to boot camp. We burn approximately 400 – 800 calories every day at boot camp. Depending on how many days/week you show up, you can burn anywhere from 1200 – 4000 calories per week in boot camp which equals anywhere from 1/3 of a pound to over 1 pound of body fat lost per week just from showing up to boot camp.
- Eat less – You increase your chances of losing weight by eating less. You want to eat 5 – 6 small meals every three to four hours, everyday. This keeps your blood sugar levels even throughout the day. You don’t want to eat when you are hungry as this tells your body to store fat.
- Do your best every day – When you show up for boot camp it is important to remember to do your personal best every day. Don’t focus on other people and how fast they can run or how much weight they can lift as this can feel defeating, as long as you can leave each day knowing that you did your best, which is all that matters.
- Rest – It is imperative that you get the proper amount of rest every night. It is recommended to get 8 hours of sleep every day. Your body needs to heal and recover from the challenging workouts that we do every day. If you don’t rest, your body won’t work as efficiently as it should and you will be prone to keeping your weight on and risk injury.
- Cut out white foods – Add a little color to your daily eating regimen. You don’t want to be eating foods that are processed such as white flour, sugar, dairy, etc. These types of food should be considered the devil and avoided at all costs.
I hope these few tips help as I want you to achieve the best results possible in your time at boot camp. Follow these simple tips and you will see the fat melt off of your body sooner than you think. Keep up the great work and I will see you soon.
